MACH Care of the Ageing consists of multidisciplinary experts covering the translation of the health research spectrum. It aims to increase capacity in high-quality research to address the ageing and aged care challenges faced by end-users including patients, carers, health care providers and members of the broader community.
Care of the Ageing is overseen by a committee with the role of developing translational solutions linking basic science to clinical research and implementation science, to deliver a more personalised approach to the care of the ageing which will have a significant local, national and global impact and stimulate collaboration.
Consumer representatives are active members of the committee, ensuring that the voices of ageing and older adults are heard and contribute to how ageing and aged care research is handled in Australia.
The committee aims to provide an inclusive and supportive environment for clinicians and non-clinicians to work together, as well as supporting early- and mid-career researchers (EMCRs).
