Overview
The webinar held on 27 July 2022 discusses the skills and tools needed to effectively involve members of culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities in their research. This session is targeted at and developed with early and mid-career researchers and covers topics including:
- What to consider when planning and undertaking your research
- Building trust
- Consent processes
- Ensuring cultural appropriateness
- Communicating with the community
The presentations are followed by a panel discussion.

This webinar follows the successful MACH Consumer Engagement session held in 2021. We are planning a separate webinar focusing on engagement with Aboriginal communities for research to be hosted by the MACH Aboriginal Leadership Group later in 2022. Details of this session will be provided as this develops.
