Overcoming therapy resistance in paediatric T-cell leukaemia and lymphoma

While there are well-evidenced front-line therapies for paediatric haematological malignancies, relapsed or refractory disease, associated with chemotherapy resistance, portends dismal outcomes. This is particularly the case for T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukaemia and lymphoma (T-ALL/LBL). I propose to undertake laboratory-based translational research to characterise treatment resistance in paediatric T-ALL/LBL, defining mechanisms of resistance and identifying potential therapeutic approaches to overcome this.
