Purpose of the committee
The purpose of the Victorian Falls Prevention Alliance is to work collaboratively to reduce falls and falls injuries in hospitals. This work is overseen by a committee made up of researchers, clinicians and consumers. The Alliance is an initiative of the Victorian Research Translation Centre Collaborative consisting of the Melbourne Academic Centre for Health (MACH), Monash Partners and the Western Alliance. About you
We are seeking (at least) one consumer representative to join the committee to help drive our research agenda. The representative should be based in Victoria have experience of falls in hospital either as a patient or carer. Knowledge of the health system would be an asset. Representatives from culturally or linguistically diverse communities and First Nations people are very welcome to apply.
Time commitment
The committee meets approximately every four-six weeks on a Monday afternoon for one hour via Zoom (requires PC, Internet and webcam). Committees may run hybrid meetings/events from time to time and there may be opportunity to attend face-to-face seminars during the year.
The initial appointment period will be for 12 months with the possibility to extend.
Remuneration
$100 per meeting (for both face-to-face or online sessions) up to four hours
